Thank you for visiting the Yakima Valley Music Educators Association website.  I'm Don May, current president of the YVMEA with Ron Gerhardstein now the Past President. Over eight years ago, we created this site to increase communication and strengthen music education for our region's teachers and students––to CLOSE the Distance which physically separates us and to help us to better teach. We as a region are only as good as those who selflessly participate. We need each other. In the next few years, I believe we will face many challenges that we can overcome as long as we communicate and stand with one another. Make a commitment to participate.
