Location:

East Valley High School?

Guest Conductor:

Dear Directors,

Welcome to the Yakima Valley Beginning Band Festival. Here are some things to keep in mind to make this year's festival run smoothly. Please have your students at the school by 2:45pm. Make sure all the students bring a sack lunch and or snacks along with a beverage. You may even like to bring something to eat for yourself.

REMEMBER, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR STUDENTS PREPARED TO PLAY ALL SELECTIONS. Don't wait until the last minute to order what you don't have.

Have all instrument cases labeled with student names and the school they go to. You will need to bring your school's music stands, school owned instruments, and any percussion items. Please have them labeled clearly so when the whole mob is released, you can claim your schools' items. There will be a separate area for each school's belongings. After your students have their things put away and their instruments out, send them to the appropriate marked area in the gym to await further instructions. YOU ALSO NEED TO BRING ENOUGH MUSIC STANDS TO OUTFIT YOUR BAND! Once again please label them! If you wish, you can have your students wear a name tag with their school's name on it, but this is at your option.

As a curtesy to them, please contact Little League Coordinators, spring soccer teams, and any other spring sports coaches in your area to inform them of this festival date. Talk to them early so we can have every student at the festival!

Please send an email, to host Kyle Langston, indicating the number of students you plan on bringing so she can order the chairs. Please let us know if you are COMING or NOT coming, either way! Kyle's email address is langston.kyle@evsd90.org.
